General
Neumann IT Solutions only processes personal data to the extent that this is necessary for the operation of this website, the processing of inquiries, the provision of services or to fulfill legal obligations.
This website is structured as a static information page. No tracking services, no analysis tools and no marketing cookies are used.
CN1 Backup
CN1 Backup creates encrypted file and folder backups on storage media and network shares that the customer sets up himself. Backup contents, file names, paths, repository passwords, and emergency package passwords are not transferred to Neumann IT Solutions.
A random installation identifier, license and edition status, system type and pseudonymized customer and device identifiers can be processed for licensing and activation. Raw license keys are not stored in the monitoring database.
The optional CN1 monitoring is only activated with express consent. Only technical status data such as software version, last contact, time and result of the last backup, number of open errors as well as pseudonymized installation and customer assignments are transferred. No backup content, file names or paths are transferred. Consent can be paused or revoked in the application.
Technical status data is only retained for as long as necessary for operation, verification, error analysis or legal obligations. Personal inspections of suspicious processes only take place within the agreed scope of services and during the agreed business hours; monitoring is not personal 24/7 support.
CN1 Intune Onboarding
CN1 Intune Onboarding is a locally running Windows administration tool for checking the Microsoft Entra and Intune Onboarding readiness of a Windows device.
The application processes technical system and administrative information exclusively locally on the device. These may include in particular:
- Windows version and system architecture
- Microsoft Entra join status
- Active Directory join status
- Workplace or Entra registration status
- Intune local enrollment indicators
- Intune Management Extension status
- Accessibility of required Intune services
- Indications of a pending Windows restart
- Run mode as standard user or administrator
Depending on the Windows and Microsoft Entra configuration, the locally determined status information can contain device, client or user references. This information is not automatically transmitted to Neumann IT Solutions by the application.
CN1 Intune Onboarding creates local JSON and HTML reports in the directory %LOCALAPPDATA%\CN1\IntuneOnboarding\Reports. The reports remain on the respective device. The person or organization using the application is responsible for storing, sharing and deleting these files.
The application does not store Microsoft credentials and does not perform an unattended login. When you start Intune onboarding, the Windows “Access work or school account” protected area opens. Registration, multi-factor authentication and communication with Microsoft services take place within Windows or via the respective Microsoft services.
The application uses no telemetry, no analytics services, no advertising and no user tracking. It does not download any external program code or automatically submit reports to Neumann IT Solutions.
CN1 Defender Onboarding
CN1 Defender Onboarding is a locally run Windows administration tool for checking Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint readiness and for controlled execution of a user-provided Microsoft MDE onboarding script.
The application processes technical system, security and administrative information exclusively locally on the device. These may include in particular:
- Computer name, local user name and run mode as standard user or administrator
- Windows version, edition, build, system architecture, kernel version and last system boot
- Microsoft Defender Antivirus status, real-time protection, behavior monitoring, network inspection, access protection and tamper protection
- Version and update status of the Defender engine and security signatures
- Presence, status, startup mode and program path of the local Sense service
- local Microsoft Defender for Endpoint OnboardingState
- only the presence of an MDE organization ID, not its value
- Indications of a pending Windows restart
- Local DNS base check results for required Microsoft services
- Test results, warnings and locally detected capture errors
Depending on the Windows and Microsoft Defender configuration, the locally determined status information may contain a device or user reference. The Application does not automatically transmit this information to Neumann IT Solutions.
CN1 Defender Onboarding creates local JSON and HTML reports in the directory %LOCALAPPDATA%\CN1\DefenderOnboarding\Reports. The reports remain on the respective device. The person or organization using the application is responsible for storing, sharing and deleting these files.
When selecting a Microsoft MDE onboarding script, the application locally processes the file name, full file path, file size, SHA256 hash value, detected structural features, and validation result. The script content is not transferred to Neumann IT Solutions, is not adopted into the program and is not changed by the application.
The selected script will only be started with administrator rights after explicit confirmation. The application records the exit code locally and then checks the local onboarding state and the Sense service again. Selection, validation, or cancellation do not execute script.
The application does not store Microsoft credentials or MDE organization ID. It does not create a Microsoft tenant, obtain a license, generate an onboarding package, or automatically download an onboarding script. When you open the Microsoft Defender Portal, communication takes place via the browser used and the respective Microsoft services.
The application uses no telemetry, no analytics services, no advertising and no user tracking. It does not download any external program code and does not automatically send reports or script data to Neumann IT Solutions.

Remote maintenance with DWService / DWAgent
For technical support services, Neumann IT Solutions can use the remote maintenance solution DWService / DWAgent. A connection is only established after prior agreement and by actively starting the customer module by the person concerned or the customer. The user ID and temporary password displayed for the session are used exclusively to establish this session. Unsupervised permanent access is not set up by default.
Depending on the support order, screen contents, keyboard and mouse inputs, files and folders, system and resource information, processes and services as well as terminal or text file contents can be viewed or edited during remote maintenance. Access is limited to the extent necessary for the agreed support.
The technical provider of the remote maintenance platform is DWSNET S.r.l., Via Fedro 16, 80122 Naples, Italy. As a technical processor, DWSNET processes in particular authentication, agent and access data, including start and end times of the connection, IP addresses and other data required to provide and secure the service. DWSNET currently names OVH S.R.L. as a subcontractor. in Italy and Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany.
According to the provider, connections are encrypted and transmitted via TCP port 443. Data transferred between the support technician and the agent is not stored under the data processing agreement. Technical access and connection data may nevertheless be logged and retained in accordance with the provider's specifications.
According to the provider, processing and storage generally takes place in the European Economic Area. However, for technical purposes, connections can be routed via nodes outside the European Economic Area. This can lead to cross-border disclosure of personal data.
Neumann IT Solutions does not record remote maintenance sessions. Temporary credentials are not saved for later access after the session is completed. Required support notes, details of work performed and billing-related information can be retained as part of the business and performance documentation.
Simply downloading the file CN1-Fernwartung.exe does not establish a remote support connection. A connection to the DWService infrastructure begins only when the program is started and the session is authorised.
Further information is available in the DWService Privacy Policy and the DWService Data Processing Agreement.
